The Chennault International Airport Authority is prepared to facilitate a corporate relocation package with financial incentives comparable to company commitment, and will assist any company interested in relocating to or expanding at the Airport to develop a package that meets its needs.
Foreign Trade Zone: If your company imports parts or products, Chennault can offer FTZ benefits, which include duty-free storage, assembly, or manufacture of foreign goods. Merchandise entering the U.S. from the zone site is subject to duty and quota. Merchandise exported from the zone site is exempt from all U.S. Customs duties. Warehousing facilities as well as industrial property and port sites may be designated as foreign trade zones.
Enterprise Zone: Chennault International Airport is classified as an Enterprise Zone, which provides companies with special tax incentives in addition to those available elsewhere in the state. These include a one-time tax credit of $2,500 for each net new job created at start-up or added to the payroll during the first five years of the program. For aviation manufacturing companies, this tax credit is doubled, to $5,000 per net new job. There are also exemptions on building materials and operating equipment that can be added to the incentives package.
