Northrop Grumman - Northrop Grumman has been active building the Joint STARS aircraft for the United States Air Force at Chennault for 12 years. During that time, the site has repeatedly ranked as the most productive plant in the Northrop Grumman family of companies and has also enjoyed the lowest employee turnover rate.
The Chennault International Airport Authority has worked closely with Northrop Grumman throughout its tenure in Lake Charles to provide the most efficient facilities possible and is currently in the process of modifying the site for the transition to a new Joint STARS aircraft platform.
Aeroframe Services - Aeroframe Services has operated at Chennault since 2000 as a commercial aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul company. Aeroframe Services began its operations with 3 employees and today is up to more than 400 workers during what has been the most difficult period in the history of the aviation industry.
After just 18 months of operation, Aeroframe Services became the largest Airbus MRO in the Americas, and continues to grow its customer base at the Lake Charles facility. Federal Express is its primary customer.
The Chennault International Airport Authority has worked continually with its tenants to assure they have the most competitive facilities possible. Since Aeroframe Services arrived in Lake Charles, Chennault has helped provide a state-of-the-art mezzanine system, expanded office space, warehousing, back shop space and local support for the MRO. Chennault is now working with Aeroframe Services to provide further upgrades and expansions to make the company competitive and profitable, which brings additional quality jobs to Southwest Louisiana.
Million Air is Chennault's Fixed Base Operator for charter operations and business and general aviation services.
Louisiana Millwork - Louisiana Millwork was a start-up company in Southwest Louisiana in 2000 and has grown to be a major building materials manufacturer and supplier in the Louisiana and East Texas market, expanding to nearly 75 employees.
Louisiana Millwork supplies many products to the independently-owned retail lumber and building material companies throughout its expanding market area.
At the time of its start-up Louisiana Millwork needed the appropriate space for manufacturing its value-added products and warehousing for distribution. Chennault offered the right space at the right price and with the right operating costs.
Most importantly, the site offered the company immediate access to the interstate highway system at I-10 and I-210. The timely and cost-effective start-up enabled Louisiana Millwork to be immediately competitive and in a position to grow its business and its workforce.

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) was founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller and is headquartered in Americus, Georgia. The Calcasieu Area affiliate of HFHI was founded in 1992. Affiliates are local 501(c)(3) organizations of HFHI that direct house-building work in their own communities. There are over 1,500 U.S. affiliates in all 50 states, with an international presence in 90 countries.
